Paris Landing State Park To Open Waterfront Bar And Grille

Buchanan, Tenn.– Paris Landing State Park will host the grand opening of Marker 66 Marina & Grille – a new waterfront restaurant housed at the park’s marina—on Friday, August 10. The restaurant will serve local guests and park visitors while the park inn undergoes a major improvement project.
The Paris Landing Inn will close August 5. The Inn will be demolished and replaced with a more modern, but smaller, facility. A spokesperson at Paris Landing Inn told WENK/WTPR Monday afternoon the date for demolition to begin has not yet been set.
“Marker 66 will continue the tradition of lake view dining at Paris Landing State Park during construction of the new park inn,” said Brock Hill, deputy commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. “Having a dining presence at the park to serve our guests and the local community will add to the overall park experience as we transition from the old inn to a vibrant new inn on the shores of Kentucky Lake.”
The name Marker 66 refers to the marina’s address on the water – Tennessee/Kentucky Lake marker 66.2. The full-service restaurant and bar, with seating both indoors and outdoors on the marina dock, will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Guests can enjoy a varied menu of local classics and healthy options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located in the former marina store location, the marina will continue to offer goods and services to visitors and boaters as well as Paris Landing State Park t-shirts and other souvenir clothing.
“We are excited that the administration has answered our request to have a restaurant located on the State Park grounds for folks to enjoy while we are in the process of rebuilding the Paris Landing inn,” said State Rep. Tim Wirgau, R-Buchanan. “Be sure to take advantage of Marker 66 and its beautiful setting.”
The grand opening will kick off on Friday at 5 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting presided over by Hill, followed by door prizes and State Park merchandise giveaways, live music by Step N Tyme and sampling by Tennessee Brew Works of their State Park Blonde Ale from 5-7 p.m. Marker 66 is located at 41 Paris Landing Marina Dr., Buchanan TN 38222.
