Buchanan, Tenn.–Sunday was the last day for the Paris Landing Inn to be open and crowds were there to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the popular dining room for the last time. Actually, people had been crowding to the Inn for the past several days to visit “one last time” and have been posting photos of themselves and their families making those last sentimental visits. A spokesperson for the Inn told WENK/WTPR that demolition is set to begin in October and that the furniture and other items from the interior are being transferred to other state parks in Tennessee. The Paris Landing Inn will be demolished and replaced with a more modern, but smaller facility.
