Good Samaritan, Deputy Honored With Life Saving Awards

Dover, Tenn.—A deputy and a good Samaritan were honored for bravery by Stewart County Sheriff Frankie Gray.
The Sheriff’s Lifesaver Award was presented to Corey Etherton and private citizen Sabrina Benson for their bravery and quick action during a traffic accident in which the victim was pulled away from a burning vehicle.
Deputy Etherton responded to the crash even while off duty. One of the passengers was ejected but still laying next to the vehicle while it was burning. Ammunition from inside the vehicle continued to explode, Sheriff Gray said, but despite the extreme heat and risk, Deputy Etherton, along with Benson, pulled the victim away from the burning vehicle.
