Bethel's Jamie Julve Wins Kentucky Golf Invitational

 
RICHMOND, KY– Bethel’s Jamie Julve shot 70-75 (145) and finished three over par in route to winning the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky which concluded Sunday.  The Wildcats placed three in the top 12 and finished fourth out of 11 teams participating. IU-Kokomo won the event with a two day score of 603. Bethel finished at 634.  Fifty four golfers were in the field.
Bethel senior Tyler Britt played well and finished 10th with scores of 72-79 (151).  Freshman Peyton Lane, finished 12th at 153, (71-75).  Ethan Soule shot 77, 85 at 162 and came in 24th.   Justin Smith shot 91-85 and was 42nd. David Proctor was 44th at 91-86.
Coach Larry Geraldi said, “It was tough conditions for everyone again – extreme cold and wind. It was not a good day to play golf but everyone played hard and represented Bethel in outstanding fashion. We are happy for Jamie and his effort in winning the event. We will now move on to the SSAC Conference championships.”
Lady Golf Cats Finish Sixth in Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational
RICHMOND, KY– The Bethel’s Lady Wildcat Golf team finished sixth out of nine teams in the Alice Lloyd Invitational which concluded Sunday in Richmond, Kentucky.  St. Mary’s College won the event.
Junior Juliana Campbell led the Lady Cats with scores of 87 & 88 and finished in the top ten at 175.  She placed ninth. Senior Morgan Bromley tied for 14th at 182 with scores of 88 & 94.
Freshman Vivian Riddell finished 36th while Freshman Emma Cline came in 39th.
Coach Larry Geraldi said, “It was tough conditions for everyone again – extreme cold and wind. It was not a good day to play golf but everyone played hard and represented Bethel in outstanding fashion.  I thought Juliana and Morgan both played well. We will now move on to the SSAC Conference championships.”
