Losing Departments This Year Shave Their Legs For Battle Of Badges

Paris, Tenn.—Last year, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office won the LIFELINE Bloodmobile Battle of the Badges, which meant that the Paris Fire Department and Police Department had to wash a sheriff’s patrol car. The year before that, the Fire Department won and that meant Fire Chief Michael Williams got to shove pies in the faces of Sheriff Monte Belew and Police Chief Chuck Elizondo.
This year, the competition will be even more fierce as the losing department will have to shave their legs!
This is a friendly competition each year between the three departments and will be held from 12 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the First United Methodist Church in Paris.
When you give blood, tell the staff at the Bloodmobile for which department you’re donating. Donors also will receive a free t-shirt.
