Calloway County Sherrif’s Office Press Release: On April 2nd, 2019 at approximately 3:44pm the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office received several 911 calls reporting a two vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment at the intersection of U.S. Highway 641 North and Poor Farm Rd.
A 2007 GMC Yukon being driven by Michelle Thomas, 44 of Cadiz, was travelling southbound on U.S. 641 when it collided with a 2016 Nissan Sentra being driven by Kimberly Edwards, 46 of Murray, who was travelling eastbound on Poor Farm Rd. Edwards’ vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Edwards was extricated from her vehicle by mechanical means before being transported to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Thomas was not injured in
the collision.
The accident is being investigated by Deputy Tom Bailey. Deputy Bailey was assisted at the scene by Murray-Calloway County EMS, Calloway County Fire-Rescue, Murray Fire Department and Murray Police Department.
