Paris, Tenn.–The Paris-Henry County Rescue Squad hosted a Trench Rescue Class over the weekend. The three-day class is part of the TARS Rescue College and it teaches techniques for safety, securing against further collapse and methods to safely rescue trapped persons from a trench when it collapses.
The class was held in a field at the corner of Hwy. 218 and Fairground Rd. Rescue Squad Unit Director Debbie Barker said, “Our Members participated as well as TARS members from Morristown, Robertson County and Robertson Co EMA, and other Counties. Thanks to Mark Archer, Henry Co Highway Dept, and Air Evac for bringing the helicopter out.”
