Paris, Tenn.–The Calloway County Road Department truck stolen by an escaped inmate earlier Thursday has been found near Buchanan in Henry County and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies and other law enforcement, including the Kentucky State Police, are searching the area for him.
Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew told WENK/WTPR that Sgt. Wayne Fuqua and his K9 Adora are also tracking the inmate, Henry M. Richard Jr. The truck was found near 119 and Rabbit Creek Rd.
“He’s no stranger to Henry County,” Belew said. “We’ve had him in our jail before and we believe he is still in this area. We don’t know if he’s on foot or if someone picked him up, but we believe he’s still in the area.”
