The Community Relations Director for the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce will focus on developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with Chamber Members, potential members and the community at large. This position will oversee and execute membership events and activities, as well as assist with executing the organization’s marketing and public relations strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with Chamber members, potential members and the community at large. This includes actively recruiting new members and obtaining sponsors.
2. Assist with developing and executing the organizations marketing and public relations strategy.
a. Managing the Website.
b. Creating communication pieces through Constant Contact.
c. Executing Social Media Strategy.
3. Assist with developing and overseeing member benefits and programing.
a. Through the appropriate committee, organize existing networking events like the monthly Chamber Coffee, Grub Clubs, Donuts with the Director, the Golf Tournament, and the Chamber Banquet.
b. Assist with developing events that make our community a desirable place to live.
c. Assist with developing and executing events that will drive tourism revenue for our county.
4. Represent the organization in a positive and productive manner in the community.
a. When available, give back to the community by volunteering and serving through non-profits and civic organizations.
b. Understand that all actions and communication, verbal and written, represents our organization.
Position Details
This job is a salary position, paid every two weeks. Pay is subject to qualifications and ability. No health or retirement benefits provided. Must be a Henry County resident or willing to move upon hire.
