Mayfield, Ky.—Interim Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden can now remove the ‘interim’ part of his title as he handily defeated Jason Clark to win the sheriff’s race at Tuesday’s election.
Hayden, who is a former McCracken County Sheriff, has been serving as interim sheriff since February after former Sheriff Dewayne Redmon passed away.
Hayden also has worked with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. He worked for the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office from 1993 to 2018, including 12 of those years as sheriff.
Hayden is a Graves County native.
He defeated Jason Clark, a former KSP trooper and a former officer with the Paducah and Mayfield Police Departments.
