Paris, Tenn.- The Henry County Republican Party held its caucus Saturday morning and finished business in less than ten minutes.
The crowd was small and GOP party chair Tess Robbins said, “With the Veterans Day Parade, several members of the Party are involved with that and many here are heading over when we finish.”
Richie Chilcutt won the nomination for Road Supervisor and Ginger Cox became the first-ever woman in Henry County nominated for property assessor on the Republican side of the ballot. The two were elected by acclamation after no other nominations came from the floor.
There were no nominations for any other offices such as constables or road board members. When elections come in March, people can still be on the ballot as independents if they qualify by the deadline.
The date for the Chancellor caucus has been set for November 23rd at 4pm in Decatur County.
