Martin, Tenn.–A 23-year-old man was shot Saturday night during an altercation at student housing apartment complex in Martin.
Charles Brown III was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center for his injuries and was treated and later released.
On Saturday morning November 9th at approximately 12:55 am officers of the Martin Police responded to the area of 237 W. Peach St. at The Station Apts., in reference to an individual that had been shot.
Chief Don Teal said, “Upon arrival officers spoke with 24-year-old Antonio Hogard Jr. and 27-year-old Adrian Oliver. Both subjects stated multiple individuals had confronted them and attempted to rob them at gunpoint. During the altercation a shot was fired, striking 23 year old Charles Brown III.”
Brown was interviewed by Department Investigators at West Tennessee Healthcare in Martin before he was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital with his injuries. He was later treated and released.
