Springville, Tenn.–The spirit of giving was alive at Sulphur Well Church of Christ over the weekend as 250 households were served by church members and volunteers at distribution day with Second Harvest Food Bank.
Distribution of the groceries was held on Saturday and Brother Bob Palmer said, “It may have been cold and a little rainy, but the inclement weather seemed to have no impact on the servant hearts on display. We served 250 households and sent each of them home with a couple of weeks worth of groceries just in time for Thanksgiving.”
Jan Maupin said there were from 120 to up to 135 volunteers helping and she said, “We had a good energy and spirit of service. We’re blessed and grateful.”
