Paris Police Investigate Thefts

Paris, Tenn.–Paris Police Department responded to West Side Storage in reference to a burglary. The owner advised the officer a check of the storage sheds revealed about seven different locks had been cut off. Upon review of the video surveillance, a large, dark colored truck was shown driving through. Owners also notified officer some pieces of a taillight were found. This case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division.
Corporal Amanda Forrest responded to a call of burglary to a garage on Memorial Dr. When the owner went out to his garage he noticed some items missing. A Stihl brand saw, a Poulan chainsaw , a battery charger, and two battery operated drills. The owner said his roll up door to the garage had not been secure.
Officer Amber Roaten responded to Patterson St. in reference to an auto burglary on Saturday. The owner said he thought he heard his truck door being closed last night but didn’t see anything when he looked outside. The next morning he noticed he was missing about $1000 worth of antiques from the inside of his truck, which was unlocked. Items include a black lantern with glass and chain with a metal ring on top valued at $500, a candle holder, an old brown leather school bag, and a leaf blower that was on the porch.
