Paris Woman Sought On Animal Cruelty Charges

Paris, Tenn.–A rural Paris woman is wanted on charges of animal cruelty after she allegedly abandoned her dogs in her home for two weeks without food or water.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for Hallie Ann Christian of 10345 Hwy. 54.
Deputy John Andrews responded to a call of abandoned dogs and upon arrival at the back door of the residence, he noticed a padlock on the door. There was no answer at the door but a strong smell of feces and urine wafted out.
Andrews could hear the dogs barking inside and proceeded around the home to look in. The inside was covered in urine and feces and no food or water could be seen, according to the report.
With the aid of Lt. Sulcer, they were able to get inside to rescue the dogs. The dogs were in poor condition with filth covering them and their ribs showing. The dogs were taken to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Animal Shelter.
