Cancer patients have gone through so much from diagnosis to treatment, the Paris-Henry County Healthcare Foundation is happy to offer something to help put a smile on their faces, the main reason to put on the Ed Roberts Caring Hearts Fund Cancer Survivor Dinner.
The event was established by the late Ed Roberts in the basement of the Cancer Care Center in 1989 with only a few dollars and guests. The event was taken over by his wife Barbara after his passing. She gave the dinner over to the Caring Hearts Fund and Cancer Care Center but stepped into the organizer role a few years ago. She and HCMC staff are back again this year to help ensure the sinner is a big success.
To make a donation or volunteer call Tory Daughrity at 644-8266 and gain remember RSVP is this coming Friday November 29th by calling 644-3463. The Caring Hearts Fund of the Paris Henry County Healthcare Foundation is a local fund that provides financial assistance to co-pays, insurance premiums, medications and transportation to those cancer patients whom are undergoing cancer treatment at the local Cancer Care Center in Henry County.
