Union City, Tenn.–Auditions will begin this week for the Masquerade Theatre production of “James and the Giant Peach.” The performances will be held in March at the Capitol Theatre in Union City.
Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale of a boy, his insect friends, and their amazing journey across the ocean on a giant piece of fruit.
Audition Dates
Friday, December 13th from 3:30-5:30
Saturday, December 14th from 10AM-1PM
Tuesday, December 17th from 6-8:30
Auditions will be at The Capitol Theatre. All who auditon will be asked to sing, dance, and read from a script.
Performance dates are March 6-15, 2020

Ladahlord
A strange, magical storyteller. Often inserts himself into the story, in disguise, to help push the action forward.

Spiker
James’ mean aunt. A thief and a scoundrel. Shrewd and opportunistic. Very tall and thin.

Sponge
James’ other mean aunt. Also a thief and a scoundrel, but not nearly as bright as her sister. Very corpulent, she often has her mind on food.

A normal spider who has become human-sized after eating a crocodile tongue. Her husband was killed and eaten by Spiker and Sponge.
