Patton Is National Boxing Champ; Qualifies For Olympic Training Camp

Paris, Tenn.–Paris Downtown Boxing’s Cam’ron Patton is a National Boxing Champion and is now qualified to attend the Olympic Training Camp in Colorado and travel internationally for the USA.
Patton and Coach Derik Moon attended the week-long 2019 USA Boxing Youth National Championships and Junior Open in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The 176+  bracket consisted of three young men that previously competed in Qualifying tournaments throughout the year in order to fight at the National level.
Patton fought Quincy Harris from South Euclid, Ohio to clench the National Title in a unanimous decision.
The boxers that were victorious in international weight divisions earned the opportunity onto their first high performance team as well as attending attend high performance training camps at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and represent Team USA in international competition.
Patton will be attending the Olympic Training Camp in the Spring of 2020.
Coach Derik Moon wants everyone in Henry County to know how appreciative both he and Cam’ron are of all the support shown throughout the year.  Moon is excited that “Cam’ron is Henry County’s shot at an Olympic Athlete. Our goal is to qualify for the 2024 Paris, France Olympic Games.”
