Reminder: The polls are open today in the 77th District for the special General Election to select a new State Representative.
On the ballot are Democrat Michael Smith, Republican Rusty Grills, and three Independent candidates Billy Jones, Max Smith and Ronnie Henley. They are vying to succeed Republican Bill Sanderson of Kenton, who resigned in the fall.
In Obion Co., polls are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Elections Administrator Leigh Ann Schlager said there are 11 polling places open there.
In Dyer Co., polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 16 polling places, with Lake County polls open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three polling places.
