Paris, Tenn.–A candlelight balloon release will be held Saturday evening, February 1st, at Eiffel Tower Park for Shawnton Clay of Paris, who was murdered over the weekend in Nashville.
In her honor, the Eiffel Tower is lit up purple this week and through the weekend. The color purple serves a dual purpose: According to her family, purple was her favorite color and purple also is the color of domestic violence awareness.
The ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. at the Eiffel Tower and everyone is invited. Attendees are asked to bring candles and balloons.
