Union City, Tenn.–A rural Union City home was destroyed in an early morning fire.
Union City Firefighters were called to 1849 Wade Wiley Road at 1:14 a.m. today. Upon arrival, they found the attic fully engulfed in flames and the fire spread to the entire house.
Captain Karl Ullrich said the single-family frame dwelling was a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Residents were unharmed, he said. The property is owned by Mark Hinson and Mona REvell.
Mutual aid was provided by the Troy and Rives Fire Departments. The Obion Co. Sheriff’s Office and Gibson Electric assisted.
