
Kenton, Tenn.–Three Kenton residents are in the Obion County Jail after their arrests on drug charges Wednesday. According to the Obion County Sheriff’s Office, all three were found with meth.
Arrested were: Angela Hamm, age 36, charged with possession of meth and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and having an open container; Nicholas Lawson, age 30, possession of meth, marijuana, Xanax, and drug paraphernalia; and Shawn Roberts, age 46, possession of meth and tampering with evidence.
According to the press release, Investigators with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on a White Toyota Camry on Poplar Street in Kenton. Upon making contact with the driver, which was Angela Hamm, she dmitted to being in possession of marijuana.
A search of the vehicle was conducted where investigators located a box containing 0.44 grams of Methamphetamine, a shooter straw, and an open container of an alcoholic beverage. Ms. Hamm is charged with Possession of Sch II, Possession of Sch VI, Poss of Drug Paraphernalia, and Open Container.
A ‘knock and talk’ was conducted at a residence located at 514 S. Poplar Street where Ms. Hamm said she was headed prior to the traffic stop. Lawson gave consent to search his home where 2.49 grams of marijuana, 1.03 grams of methamphetamine, 13 Xanax pills, and several items of paraphernalia were located. Mr. Lawson is charged with Possession Sch VI, Possession Sch II, Poss Sch IV, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Roberts was located inside a bedroom in the home where he was found to be in possession of 0.35 grams of methamphetamine he had stuffed inside a cigarette pack just prior to investigators entering the bedroom. Roberts is charged with Possession of Sch II and Tampering with Evidence.
All three subjects were arrested and taken to the Obion County Correctional Facility where they await their arraignments schedule for Friday, February 7th at 1PM.
