Union City, Tenn.–A huge crowd was on hand for the inaugural Robert E. and Jenny D. Kirkland Discovery Awards Gala at Discovery Park over the weekend. The event brought together leaders, policymakers, philanthropists and others to celebrate the winners:
- Kevin Coby, Annapolis Junction, MD (President and CEO of SITEC Consulting LLC in Maryland)
- Carl and Alice Kirkland, Jackson, Tenn. (Founders of the Alice and Carl Kirkland Cancer Center in Jackson, Tenn.)
- Stephen Vaden, Washington, D.C. (General Counsel for USDA)
- Jon and Jaimie Robinson, Nashville, Tenn. (Co-chairs of the JDRF Promise Gala and he is general manager of the Tennessee Titans)
Carl and Alice Kirkland were presented their award by Ron Kirkland; Jon and Jaimie Robinson were presented their award by Allison Palmer, Jon’s sister; Stephen Vaden was presented his award by Dana Weekes; Kevin Coby was presented his award by Admiral Tony Watson.
Hosted by Badgett Playhouse Director Bill Minihan, the elegant event featured a silent auction, live auction and entertainment.
