Paris, Tenn.–A local staple–the St. Patty’s Day luncheon at First Christian Church–has been cancelled. The popular potato bar luncheon was set for Tuesday, March 17 at the church. In a statement issued Friday morning, church officials said, “We appreciate all of you who have purchased tickets and will be working in the next few weeks to be sure money is refunded. Our money raised this year was to support the back to school bash in July. We will still be participating in that and any monies donated will go to buy supplies for school children. Again, we thank you for your continued support of our community activities at First Christian Church. Our prayer is that we all remain safe and trust that God will be with us through this unknown journey.”
