Jackson, Tenn.–Local TCATs and Jackson State Community College are assisting with the manufacture of face shields for Tennessee healthcare professionals. There are five locations statewide that have been set up to produce 10,000 face shields. Robert Pepper of TCAT and Ben Lawrence of JSCC are working in the McWherter Center with a number of 3-D printers from area TCATs and JSCC to meet their quota of 2,000. Over 300 have been produced since yesterday. Printers came from TCAT Jackson, Whiteville, Whiteville’s Brownsville campus, Lexington, Crump, and Jackson State’s main campus. Supplies were also donated by TCAT Covington and Newbern.
