Savannah, Tenn.–Barges broke loose from their tow boat and struck a house on the Tennessee River near Pickwick Dam Thursday afternoon. According to the Hardin County Fire Department, the barges struck the house at 375 Arnold Lane about one mile below Pickwick Dam. As of 8 p.m., the runaway barges had been safely secured but the home is no longer safe to enter. No one was injured in the accident. (Hardin County FD photo).
