The Marshall County Rescue Squad, along with several other law enforcement agencies, were able to perform a water rescue at Kentucky Dam.
The Marshall County squad responded to a report of a woman out in a couple feet of water near the railroad pier below Ky Dam .
According to the press release, the squad deployed a two-man team of swift water members on a safety line to go out to her. She was safely brought back to shore, placed in a Stokes basket, carried out and turned over to EMS for medical treatment. The woman was transported to the hospital for possible hyperthermia.
Agencies on scene also included Calvert City Police Department, Marshall Co. Sheriff’s Dept., Marshall Co. EMS, and Marshall Co. Dispatch center for radio traffic.
