Land Between the Lakes has announced this afternoon that routine and public access to a variety of additional facilities and camping areas has been temporarily suspended to help protect the public from the spread of COVID-19. This includes the Elk & Bison Prairie, Turkey Bay OHV area, and more.
The following facilities are temporarily shut down:
- Elk & Bison Prairie
- Golden Pond Planetarium & Observatory
- Golden Pond Target Range
- Golden Pond Visitor Center
- Hematite Lake, Trail, and Picnic Area
- Homeplace 1850s Working Farm
- Moss Creek Day Use Area
- North Welcome Station
- South Welcome Station
- Turkey Bay OHV Area
- Woodlands Nature Station
- Wranglers Day Use
- Star Camp Picnic Area is CLOSED due to storm damage
