Dresden, Tenn.–The City of Dresden Police Department has concluded its investigation of whether a confirmed Covid-19 infected person had entered a local business while on quarantine. The Police Department was able to determine after an official investigation was opened that the individual who entered a local business on Wednesday had actually been released from quarantine at that time and that there was no known danger to the public at that time.
The investigation that was initiated following a complaint by a local business has been closed and no further action will be taken against the individual.
The police department is now conducting an investigation into a case where an individual is contacting and going to local businesses and then claiming to be a positive Covid-19 case.
The individual is a Weakley County resident and is not the one person known to be a confirmed case for Weakley County that was subject to the previously referred to investigation which cleared the person of unlawful conduct.
