
Dresden, Tenn.–Weakley County’s total positive cases of COVID-19 increased by four new cases overnight to a total confirmed 5 cases as of Sunday, April 5.
In Tennessee, the total number of Covid-19 confirmed cases increased by 312 cases from the day before to a total of 3,633. The total number of deaths from the virus in Tennessee is 44 to date.
The Tennessee Department of Health reports that a total of 328 Covid-19 confirmed cases have been hospitalized in the state while the remaining cases were quarantined at home. A total 295 have recovered.
In our area, the confirmed case count is: Carroll 7 confirmed cases; Dyer 9; Gibson 11; Henry and Benton, 4 each; Weakley 5; Houston Co , Stewart Co. 2; and Obion County 2 (sadly with one death).
