
Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Prevention Coalition is sponsoring a Drug-Free Poster Contest.
Who can participate: Any Student in K-12th grade in Henry County.
Theme: Poster themes should be peer-to-peer focused and heighten awareness about and/or to avoid/deter drug use.
Prizes: Gift cards provided area businesses.
Deadline: will run from April 13, 2020– May 22, 2020
Judging: Winners will be determined by the members of the Henry County Prevention Coalition on May 25, 2020, Via email.
Criteria for Judging: Entries will be judged on theme, reproducibility, and use of artist’s own graphics/royalty-free images.
Materials / Format:Computer generated or drawn. No larger than 8 ½” x 11”.
Entry:Entries must include student name, school, grade, contact information.There will be a number of ways to submit. Electronic submissions should be in .jpg format emailed to hcpc38242@gmail.com, orMailed to HCPC at P.O.Box 733 Paris,TN 38242, or take a picture and send it in a text to 731-336-2250. If the image is submitted Electronically please keep the original.
Ownership of entries: All submitted entries will automatically become the property of Henry County Prevention coalition to further promote and implement programs to heighten awareness about and to avoid / deter drug use among youth.
Awarding of winners:Winners will be notified via Phone.
Exhibitions: The entries will be judged by the following age categories:
K-2nd grade -2 winners
3rd-5th grade -2 winners
6th-8th grade- 2 winners
9th-12th grade -2 winners
entries will be printed and distributed to appropriate schools and throughout the community.In addition, entries may be used on social media sites to heighten awareness about and to avoid / deter teen drug free use in youth.
