
Paris, Tenn.–A Henry County inmate has died and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Richard A. Glisson, age 59, passed away Sunday at the jail.
Captain Adam Jenkins assured the public, “This is NOT in any way related to the current Covid-19 crisis.”
According to the press release, deputies were alerted by Glisson’s cellmate of a possible medical emergency. When they arrived Glisson was unresponsive. Deputies then administered CPR until EMS could arrive on scene and take over. EMS continued treatment but were unable to revive Glisson.
He was pronounced deceased by the Henry County death investigator. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Jenkins said, “The Sheriff’s Office would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Mr. Glisson.”
