Nashville, Tenn.–At today’s daily briefing on the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Bill Lee announced he is recommending Tennessee schools to remain closed for the rest of the school year.
Lee said he coordinated with other state leaders and schools in making the decision.
On March 24, the governor had announced schools would remain closed until at least April 24.
A COVID-19 school task force is being organized to develop strategies to ensure Tennessee children are safe, he said.
