Graves Co. Now Reporting 62 Positive COVID-19 Cases

Graves County, Ky.–The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Graves Co. has again jumped, with the total reported now at 62. The new figures were confirmed this afternoon by Noel Coplen, Public Health Director of the Graves County Health Department.

According to the daily update provided this afternoon by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, there now are two COVID-19 deaths reported in Graves

According to the health department, the new cases include:

A Graves County resident in her 90s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her 80s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her 90s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at the hospital.

· A Graves County resident in her 90s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her 80s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

A Graves County resident in her 60s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her 80s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her 80s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her 90s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her 80s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at the hospital.

· A Graves County resident in her 30s tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home.

· A Graves County resident in her upper teens tested positive for COVID-19. She is in isolation at home

“The biggest favor that we can do for others is not by giving them food or a visit but to stay away from them.” said Kathy Gifford, nurse supervisor for the local health department.

Elsewhere in our area, Calloway Co. is now reporting 21 positive cases. The state of Kentucky is now reporting a total 2,960 positive cases and 148 deaths.
