Union City, Tenn.–With one eye on the present, Union City High School is already focusing the other on the future.
Registration for the 2020-21 school year and freshman orientation can now be completed in an online process on the UC Schools website (tornadotouch.net).
UCHS Principal Jacob Cross, who earlier in the week announced modified information concerning graduation and prom due to the COVID-19 pandemic, believes the sign-ups and planning for next year should go smoothly.
He insisted he, guidance counselor Susan Searcy and the system’s technical support team would be readily available to answer any and all questions should they arise.
Deadline to complete the registration for all students is May 1.
Students who plan to attend Union City High School can register by following a simple path:
- Visit the main page of tornadotouch.net and go to the first tab under the heading of Parents/Students that lists “Registration.”
- On the left side under “Home,” there are several options, depending on the class of the student who is registering. A complete course catalog for 2020-21 provides an overview of the next school year.
- All rising freshmen must watch the video entitled “2020-21 Freshman Orientation” before registering. In that, Cross details many important details regarding guidelines and rules for first year UCHS students. Freshmen must then register from a list of course options.
- Rising sophomore, juniors and seniors must also register for the 2020-21 school year via this process. Course request options are listed under each heading, with advanced placement and honors options available.
Students at both UC Middle School and Union City Elementary will register at dates to be determined in early August when the 2020-21 school year official begins.
