Graves Co. Mother Arrested On Endangerment, Drug Charges

Graves Co., Ky.–A Graves County mother was arrested on wanton endangerment and drug charges after she allegedly left her six-month-old child alone overnight.

Heather McNutt, age 33, was arrested by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office and charged with possession of meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and wanton endangerment of the baby.

According to the press release, on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at approximately 9 AM, Deputy James Clark was dispatched to Kendall Road in reference to a 6 month old child being left alone over night. Upon arrival, Deputy Clark spoke with the child’s grandmother. She reported that when she got home from work she discovered her 6 month old grandchild home alone. She said that the mother had left sometime during the night while the grandmother was at work.

Deputy Clark and Sergeant Dale Mason began to look for the mother and others she may have been with. At approximately 10:15 AM, deputies were notified that the mother was suppose to be returning to the home on Kendall Road.

Deputy Clark and Sergeant Mason arrived and located the mother, 33 year old Heather McNutt. Ms. McNutt had been brought to that residence by another person. While investigating why the child was left alone, deputies located methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash believed to be the proceeds of drug transactions. Ms. Mc Nutt was taken into custody without incident. She was lodged in the Graves County Jail on the charges listed below.

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (methamphetamine)

Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (methamphetamine)

Possession of Marijuana

Possession/Use of Drug Paraphernalia
