Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Huntingdon Police Department is still working with Cash Saver Supermarket in Huntingdon to make sure that people can still get groceries and essential supplies delivered if they are at risk or do not have transportation and live inside the city limits of Huntingdon.
Public Safety Director Walter Smothers said Cash Saver now provides the option of payment by check if the customer does not have a credit or debit card. The person placing their order will need to get approval by Cash Saver to pay by check when placing their order. The officer delivering the order will bring their check back to the supermarket.
The police department will not handle a cash transaction. If there is anyone that resides in Huntingdon and meets those requirements please call the Police Department at 731-986-5310 and get your name and address on the list.
Smothers said, “I am very appreciative of Cash Savers and manager Jackie Streetman for their willingness to help provide for our at risk residents. Our town may be small but it’s full of good people willing to help one another.”
