
Dover, Tenn.–A Stewart County man was arrested on multiple charges after leading deputies on a chase during which he punched and kicked one of the deputy’s K9 officers in the head.
Dylan Cole Browning was charged with aggravated assault, evading arrest, resisting arrest and failure to appear. He was taken into custody by Sgt. Robbie MacDonald and his K9 Harry. Browning was transported to Henry County Medical Center in Paris where he was treated for bites.
K9 Harry is reported to be fine. This is Harry’s third apprehension since January.
Dover City Police stopped a vehicle for speeding next to Taco Johns in Dover, when a passenger jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot towards the boat ramp.
Police were advised that Downing had warrants on file. Stewart Co. Sheriff’s Sgt. MacDonald was called and upon his arrival deployed K-9 Harry.
After 45 minutes of searching and tracking and along with tips from citizens the subject was thought to be hiding under a deck at a house on Hillcrest Drive.
