TCAT Dual Enrollment Students Earn Certification

McKenzie, Tenn.–Tennessee College of Applied Technology-McKenzie’s Dual Enrollment Students earned certification while still in high school and recently were awarded their certificates.

Bently Couch, an Industrial Maintenance Student from Westview High School in Martin earned his Electrician Assistant Certificate. Christian Umstead, an Information Technology Systems Management Student from McKenzie High School earned his Computer Maintenance Technician Certificate and John Dublin, a HVAC Student, home schooled student from Martin earned his Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic Assistant Certificate.

TCAT officials said, “We are looking forward to having these students on campus full time to continue their technical education.”

The Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant allows a high school Junior or Senior take college courses while still attending high school. The Dual Enrollment Grant will pay for your tuition. However, any books, tools, or supplies you may need for your program will be your responsibility.

In order to apply to TCAT McKenzie as a Dual Enrollment Student you must: Complete our Enrollment Process by submitting your enrollment application, high school transcripts, attending orientation, and meeting with the instructor and financial aid supervisor.
