Dover, Tenn.–Long lines greeted the reopening of the Stewart County Courthouse on Wednesday, especially for the County Clerk’s office. The Stewart County Emergency Management Office thanked everyone who helped with reopening the courthouse to the public, noting that courthouse offices remained open past 4:30 p.m. to help as many people as possible. Everyone who was in line by 3:30 p.m. was served. The number of people inside the courthouse was limited and social distancing was observed in the lines. “Thank you to our customers and employees for understanding this new process,” they said. “We are constantly working to make this process as efficient as possible. Also a big thank you to our custodial staff for working hard to maintain cleanliness in the courthouse.” (Stewart Co. EMA photo).
