Buchanan, Tenn.–Miraculously, no one was injured in a two-vehicle accident which resulted in a truck hauling a trailer overturned in the median on Hwy. 79N Friday afternoon.
The report was released Saturday by Tennessee Highway Patrol Sergeant Jena Eubanks.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m. on Hwy. 79N at the intersection with E. Antioch Rd. near the Dollar Store. All four of the people involved were listed as non-injured.
According to the report a 2009 Nissan Maximum driven by a 17-year-old from Hornbeak was traveling across Hwy. 79 from Antioch Rd. when a 2001 Ford F350 with trailer driven by Donnie Hutcherson Jr., age 33, of Paris, was southbound in lane one on Hwy. 79. The first vehicle failed to yield in crossover and collided with the trailer driven by Hutcherson. Hutcherson’s trailer fishtailed, causing the vehicle to overturn in the median. The other vehicle also came to rest in the median.
Both drivers and passengers were wearing their seatbelts and none were injured.
