Paris, Tenn.–Dozens of protesters lined the four corners of the Henry County Courthouse and the Market-Wood Streets intersection in downtown Paris Monday afternoon. The protest was peaceful and was greeted with honking horns and waves from passersby. A smaller group held a downtown protest Sunday afternoon and a rally by the newly-formed “Take A Stand Paris” will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in downtown Paris. The gatherings are in protest of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and many of those in attendance carried signs reading, “I Can’t Breathe”. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
