Girl Injured In Horse-Riding Accident Passes Away

Henry, Tenn.–The 13-year-old girl who was injured in a riding accident at the Henry Saddle Club has passed away.

The girl, Lily Covington of Camdenton, Mo., was airlifted Saturday morning from the Saddle Club. Henry Police Chief John Andrews said it has been officially notified that the girl died later that evening at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

As reported on Sunday, a landing zone at Henry Elementary school was cleared off for Air Evac to transport the girl to the hospital in Nashville. She was participating at an event at the saddle club, when at some point the horse fell on her.

In a Facebook post today, the Henry County Saddle Club sent its sincere condolences to Lily’s family.
