Three Arrested On Drug Charges In Paris

Paris, Tenn.–Three Paris residents were arrested on multiple drug charges by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office early Sunday morning. The three were apprehended around 12:30 a.m. in a Tyson Avenue parking lot.

They are Lathan Kane Allison, age 21, of Chatham Lane; Austin Evans, age 19, of W. Washington St.; and Kayleen Shrimplin, age 19, of Guthrie Rd.

Cpl. Dalton Watson noted the three sitting in a vehicle with a door open and when he stopped to check it out, he could smell the odor of marijuana. When his request for a search was denied, Watson deployed his K9 Jagr to perform and outside check of the vehicle. According to the report, Jagr did alert to the presence of narcotics.

Following a subsequent search of the vehicle, bags of marijuana, a 9 mm semi-automatic gun, MDMA and Xanax pills, paraphernalia and over $1,000 in cash was found.

All three were transported to the Henry Co. Jail on a long list of drug charges including possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. The marijuana, pills, gun, and paraphernalia were seized.
