Bargain Highway Cancelled For 2020

Camden, Tenn.–Due to the significant rise in Covid 19 cases, the Benton County – Camden Chamber of Commerce will not be sponsoring the Bargain Highway this year.

The number of active local cases has spiked, but Chamber officials note, “Most folks come from out of town and we don’t know where and what their communities are like. This is a safe guard to protect our folks. We are truly saddened by this, but your decision to yard sale is still yours. We just want to protect our community and do our part.”

Chamber officials said, “This breaks our hearts, but the safety of our beloved Community is at the heart of our decision.”

Each year for two decades, the Chamber sponsors the Bargain Highway, which is a 30-mile stretch of yard sales over Labor Day weekend.

Meanwhile, the Chamber office is supplying masks to members and the public. The Chamber is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
