Seven W.G. Rhea Public Library board members completed their testing for the Tennessee Trustee certification in November 2019, and were awarded their official state certifications at the July 21 board meeting, according to a Tuesday afternoon news release from the W.G Rhea Public Library. Board members, Susan Pemberton and Troy Barrow had previously received their Trustee certifications in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
This official certification, by all Library board members, shows that our members are dedicated to taking their role as trustees very seriously. I am not sure that there has ever been a Library Board that was 100% Trustee Certified, until now. This is one of the best groups of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They are committed to their responsibilities as Library overseers and supportive of the Library’s commitment to serve the needs of our community.
