Weakley Co. Receives $400,000 In CARES Act Monies

Washington, D.C.-Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08) announced $400,000 in Economic Development Administration (EDA) CARES Act Recovery Assistance funding to support redevelopment and revitalization in Weakley County.  The CARES Act, signed into law by President Donald Trump on March 27, 2020, provides EDA with $1.5 billion for economic development assistance programs to help communities prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.

“COVID-19 has put a burden on West Tennessee’s economic and government operations. This funding will help Weakley County respond to the urgent needs of the community while strengthening and developing an economic recovery plan,” said Rep. David Kustoff.
