Murray State University offers several resources to help students navigate their way through the semester. For more than 30 years, University Counseling Services has provided completely free and confidential services.
Each client is assigned to a mental health professional who can provide individual or couples therapy, as needed.
“We have five full-time counselors, but we also have interns and practicum students who provide services as well,” said Director of University Counseling Services Dr. Angie Trzepacz. “We encourage everyone to focus on self-care, eating healthy meals, getting regular exercise, getting enough sleep, and making time in your schedule for enjoyable and relaxing activities; this can have a significant effect on both your physical health and your mental health. Students who take care of their bodies and their minds are able to be more effective in class and enjoy life more.”
