Nashville, Tenn.–Nashville Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect in Tuesday night’s fatal shooting of a former Paris woman.
According to the Metro Nashville Police, Amanda Baucum, age 26, was shot outside the Super 8 motel on Brick Church Pike. Baucum’s boyfriend was also wounded and is in stable condition at the hospital.
Nashville Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect and ask that anyone with information on the suspect call 615-742-7463. Reward offered.
According to Nashville Police, their officers responded to the Super 8 around 11 p.m. Tuesday on a report that two people had been shot. They found Baucum and her 35-year-old boyfriend, who hasn’t been identified by police.
The wounds of both victims were life-threatening and officers said it appeared they were shot outside their room on the back of the hotel. Officers said they believe an argument precipitated the shooting.
Baucum was transported to Skyline Medical Center and was dead on arrival; her boyfriend was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Baucum was a 2012 graduate of Henry County High School.
