Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Elections Commission was busy Monday evening, preparing for the Early Voting Period which begins Wednesday and the November 3 General Election Day.
As always, early voting will be held at the Elections Commission and will be held from October 14-October 29. Times forEarly Voting will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on October 14 and 29. Hours for October 15-28 and both Saturdays will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
With seven voting machines to be utilized, the space for early voting will be larger and will include the main lobby and the hallway areas. Elections Administrator DeLaina Green said, “We’ll have a bigger area for early voting this time since we have more voting machines for the Nov. 3 Election.”
The Elections Commission is located at 215 Grove Blvd. (former Weston Hall).
Hours for Election Day, Nov. 3, will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and as always, voting on Election Day will be held at the designated polling places around the county.
In other business:
–Two people have indicated they will be write-in candidates for Cottage Grove Aldermen: Michelle Operia and Hunter Adams.
–Board members reviewed new voter registrations. Green said there are 636 new voters registered.
–Board members reviewed the voting machine tally tapes and applied seals to the voting machines.
